Precision parts machining center refers to a basket milling type machining center, which integrates functions such as milling, basket milling, drilling, threading, and thread cutting on a single device, enabling it to have multiple process methods. Additionally, due to the workpiece being clamped once, it can automatically complete machining on more than two surfaces, and has multiple tool change or selection functions and automatic workbench exchange devices (APC), resulting in greatly high production efficiency and automation.
The precision parts machining center must have at least three coordinate movements in order to process the required shape of the parts, which are composed of three linear motion coordinates X, Y, Z and three rotation coordinates A, B, and C, and can achieve more than ten motion coordinates. Its control function should have at least two and a half axes linkage, and many can achieve five axis linkage and six axis linkage. Now, parallel CNC machine tools have emerged to ensure that the tools move according to complex trajectories.
The precision parts machining center should have various auxiliary functions, such as various fixed machining cycles, automatic compensation for tool radius, automatic compensation for tool length, tool damage alarm, tool life management, overload automatic protection, screw pitch error compensation, screw gap compensation, fault automatic diagnosis, workpiece and machining process display, online detection and machining automatic compensation of workpiece, and even cutting force control or cutting power control, providing DNC port, etc.
