All material combustion processes require the correct air fuel ratio of fuel and oxygen, otherwise incomplete combustion can cause fuel waste, increased emissions of toxic substances, and potential damage, thereby affecting the overall performance and operating costs of the boiler system. In addition, it also has a huge impact on the environment and financial losses. Let's take a look at how to use oxygen sensors to improve the combustion efficiency of boilers.
The indirect cost of fuel consumption in large industrial and commercial boilers and furnaces is high, and in order to see investment returns and maintain the lowest operating costs, operations must be maintained at high efficiency. To understand that complete combustion requires an ideal fuel air ratio, the process is optimized and maintained by measuring the output oxygen content of the exhaust gas/flue gas using an oxygen sensor in a closed-loop feedback system that is connected to the boiler controller to regulate input mixing. This is particularly useful when the quality of the supplied fuel may vary (i.e. gases come from different sources). If the air flow rate and temperature are sufficient, the fuel will release high levels of energy, while the waste carbon molecules are oxidized to form low toxic gaseous compounds. This can be measured by using oxygen sensors that can monitor the oxygen content released from the furnace.
The SST oxygen sensor provided by Industrial Mining Network can optimize the combustion process of biomass, coal, natural gas, and oil-fired boiler systems. For example, the OXY-Flex oxygen analyzer can eliminate inefficient factors in the boiler system by measuring the oxygen content in the flue gas and feeding the data back to the boiler controller. This enables in situ monitoring of the efficiency of combustion boilers and adjusting the fuel and air flow input ratio to optimize combustion in real-time.
It is worth noting that ordinary temperature type oxygen analyzers О The XY-FLEX-X series is used to measure the oxygen concentration in air or inert gases, with a gas temperature range of -100 to+250 ° C; The OXY-FLEX-X-H series high-temperature oxygen analyzer is used to measure the oxygen concentration in air or inert gases, with a temperature range of -100 to+400 ℃ (752 ° F) for maximum operating temperature. It can be configured with three different output measurement ranges and can communicate through closed-loop systems through 4-20mA, 0-10Vdc, and RS232 outputs. This oxygen free sensor has a service life of up to 10 years. This type of product is particularly suitable for measuring occasions where gas is not easily accessible or for Closed system, such as ventilation ducts, flues and containers.
