In the process of precision parts machining, the over cutting and under cutting of metal cutting are one of the difficulties that must be controlled to improve machining accuracy.
The basic method of controlling over cutting and under cutting during milling processing must pay attention to the following 5 points:
(1) Improve the rigidity of the process system and avoid elastic deviation and pulling between milling cutters, fixtures, machine tools, and workpieces.
(2) Control the appropriate and minimum milling machining allowance to avoid excessive allowance causing pull over cutting or deviation under cutting, and to avoid the comprehensive phenomenon of insufficient allowance causing under cutting due to difficulty in cutting, and once the allowance is added, causing over cutting.
(1) To control the degree of wear and service life of milling cutters, milling cutters that have entered the initial stage of normal wear should be used in situations where machining accuracy and allowance are required to be controlled.
(2) During the milling process, pay attention to exploring the relevant laws of working shape, rigidity, material removal, cutting amount selection, milling method, etc., and use the most stable milling plan for processing.
(3) Pay attention to using the method of repeatedly washing and cutting at the original predetermined position to eliminate under cutting allowance to meet the geometric accuracy requirements of milling processing.
It is very important to have correct control methods during the milling process of precision parts, otherwise it will lead to a large number of defective products and waste a lot of materials. To ensure the quality of processing, it is necessary to strictly follow these five basic methods in order to improve the processing quality.
